Edgbaston 001RC
Location: Birmingham
A principal ground floor extension spanning 8m x 11.2m and a secondary linear extension measuring 12m x 1.7m - together redefining the scale, proportion and flow of the original home. On the first floor, three additional rooms were carefully introduced alongside thoughtfully designed dormers, expanding the roofline and bringing generous natural light deep into the upper level. Existing walls throughout were systematically removed and structurally re-engineered with precision beam designs, dissolving the boundaries between spaces to create a seamless. The garage was converted and fully integrated into the new layout, while the kitchen was significantly expanded to become the social heart of the home. New ensuites were designed and distributed across the bedroom accommodation, each considered in terms of spatial efficiency, privacy and finish. The result is a home entirely reimagined - greater in scale, richer in spatial quality and transformed in the way it is experienced from every level.
